World Cancer Day
This week's tuff tray is a purple themed tray in support of World Cancer Day which is observed ton February 4th. 💜
All you need is:
- Some pasta - dyed with food colouring or paint.
- Some string ribbon or pipe cleaner.
This is a great simple activity that can be set up in minutes to support early years development in several areas, including;
Fine motor development – threading pasta strengthens finger muscles and hand–eye coordination needed for writing.
Early maths – children count pieces, explore patterns, and compare sizes and lengths.
Communication & language – encourages talking about their creation and following simple instructions.
Creativity & expressive arts – children design and create their own jewellery using colours and materials.
Personal, social & emotional development – builds confidence, independence, and perseverance when completing a task.
