Learning Colours Through Play
Two simple yet greatly loved activities this week while enjoying the nice weather. (Both you can enjoy at home with your children too!) Our water activity is a great example of how we use 'in the moment planning' in our nursery. Using the children's interest in water play, and furthering their activities with introducing colour theory, having the 3 primary colours in individual pots and plenty of empty containers and pumps to observe the colours created while filling and transporting the water 🍎💙⭐️
Elsa may be the ice queen, but at Nest we are royalty of the forest learning! With only sellotape, paper and scissors in hand, we ventured around our lovely large garden observing nature and picking 'jewel like' flowers and leaves to create our own crowns
